Privacy Policy

Tandem is operated by Sytepoint. References to “we,” “us,” or “Tandem” mean Sytepoint, the operator of the Tandem platform. Our customers are trucking companies (carriers); their drivers and staff are the end users of the service.

• Account & company information — names, work email addresses, company name, and role for the carrier staff who use Tandem.
• Driver contact information — driver name and mobile phone number, provided by the carrier or synced from the carrier’s fleet management system, used to send operational SMS.
• Load & document data — shipment details, stops, and uploaded documents such as Bills of Lading and Proof of Delivery.
• Location & telematics— vehicle GPS positions obtained through the carrier’s own connected telematics provider, used for load tracking and geofenced arrival detection.
• Usage data — standard log and device information generated when the service is used.

• To operate the TMS and provide the service to carriers and their drivers.
• To send operational, transactional SMS to assigned drivers — secure links to upload required documents (BOL/POD) and related dispatch notifications. See our SMS Messaging Terms.
• To detect arrivals at stops and advance load status.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Mobile numbers are used solely to deliver the operational messages you have opted in to receive, and you may opt out at any time by replying STOP.

We share information only with service providers that help us run Tandem, under contracts that limit their use of it — for example: Twilio (SMS delivery), Resend (email), Google Maps (geocoding and maps), Stripe (payments), and Anthropic (document extraction). We may also disclose information when required by law. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share data across carriers — each carrier’s tenant data is isolated.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including tenant isolation, encryption of stored secrets, and least-privilege access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Drivers can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, or by contacting their carrier. Carriers and individuals may request access to or deletion of their information by contacting us, subject to legal and contractual limits.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.
